Golden Hour North Bend Engagement Session.
There’s just something about summer evenings in North Bend.
The warm light. The open fields. The mountains somewhere just beyond you. And that kind of quiet that makes everything slow down for a little while.
This North Bend engagement session was one of those evenings that felt easy from the very beginning. We wandered through the field, chased the last little pieces of golden light, and let these two simply be together.
No stiff poses. No pressure to perform for the camera.
Just the way they naturally reach for each other, the way she looks at him when he isn’t expecting it, bare feet in the grass, piggyback rides, laughing until you forget there’s even a camera there.
I think engagement photos should feel like more than just pretty pictures.
They should feel like you.
Like a little piece of this season of your life preserved exactly as it was , before the wedding day arrives, before everything changes, while you’re somewhere in the middle of planning a wedding and building a life together.
That’s why I’ll always choose movement over perfect posing. I want you laughing, touching, running through a field, pulling each other closer and forgetting about me for a second.
Because those are usually the photographs that end up meaning the most.
North Bend is one of my favorite places for engagement photos in Washington because it somehow manages to feel wild and romantic without needing much at all.
Give me an open field, beautiful evening light and two people completely in love and I’m happy.
As the sun started getting lower, everything turned soft and golden. They changed into a slightly dressier look, we slowed things down, and the whole session started to feel like the final few scenes of a romance movie.
Warm. Nostalgic. A little imperfect
