A Romantic Summer Engagement Session at Mount Rainier.
There’s something about summer at Mount Rainier that never quite feels real.
The wildflowers. The warm evening light hitting the mountains. The quiet trails surrounded by green. And, of course, Rainier showing off in the background.
This Mount Rainier engagement session was everything I love about photographing couples ,romantic, a little adventurous, and completely unforced
We spent the evening wandering through the wildflowers, stopping whenever the light felt good and letting the session unfold naturally.
No stiff poses. No pressure to perform for the camera.
Just the two of them laughing, holding each other close, dancing in the middle of the mountains and soaking in this tiny season of life before they become husband and wife.
And honestly? Those are always my favorite photographs.
The ones where you can almost hear the laughter.
The ones that feel like a memory instead of a photoshoot.
One of the biggest things I want my couples to know before their engagement session is that you don’t have to know what you’re doing.
You don’t need to practice poses or worry about where to put your hands. That’s my job.
I’ll give you direction when you need it, but I also leave room for the in-between moments—the way you naturally reach for each other, the little looks, the forehead kisses, the laughing-until-your-face-hurts kind of moments.
Because your engagement photos shouldn’t just be beautiful.
They should feel like you.
