Romantic Candlelit Wedding on The MV Skansonia | Seattle Wedding Photographer

There’s something about a November wedding in Seattle that just feels extra special.

The air is a little cooler, the nights come quicker, and everything feels softer, slower… more intentional. This wedding aboard the MV Skansonia captured all of that and more.

From the glow of candlelight to the quiet moments out on the water, it was one of those days that felt incredibly meaningful from beginning to end.

Set against the Seattle skyline in November, this wedding had the most beautiful, moody atmosphere.

As the boat moved through the water, the city lights reflected across the surface, creating the dreamiest backdrop. It felt intimate in a way that’s hard to describe, like the world slowed down just for them.

We stepped out onto the deck for portraits, and that moment…
just the two of them, wrapped up in each other with the skyline behind them… it was everything.

I truly can’t say enough about these two.

They were so incredibly kind, so present, and just so in love. The way they looked at each other, the way they naturally reached for one another, it all felt effortless.

Nothing felt forced or overly posed. It was just them being themselves, and honestly… those are always the moments that matter most.

You could feel how much they cared for each other in every little interaction, and it made documenting their day feel so easy and so special.

Inside the boat, everything felt warm and inviting, like stepping into a cozy, candlelit dream.

Long tables lined with soft glowing candles, delicate details, and a timeless black-and-white palette made the space feel both elevated and intimate.

And the champagne tower?
Such a fun, classic moment that brought so much energy into the night while still fitting the overall feel of the day.

As the night went on, everything softened even more.

Between the candlelight, the quiet laughter, and the gentle movement of the water, it felt like one of those nights you wish you could bottle up and keep forever.

We snuck away for a few more portraits, some cozy and editorial inside, and others back out on the deck with the skyline glowing behind them.

No rush. No pressure.
Just them, fully present in the moment.

November weddings have such a unique kind of beauty.

They’re moodier, more intimate, and full of feeling. There’s less distraction and more focus on what actually matters, the connection, the people, the moments.

And this day was such a perfect example of that.

If you’re dreaming of something romantic, intimate, and a little different, whether that’s on the water, in the mountains, or somewhere cozy in the city, I’d love to be there to document it.
