Seattle Garden Engagement Photos with Their Sweet Golden Retriever . Romantic & Natural PNW Session

There’s something magical about Seattle gardens in the summertime. The soft golden light, the endless greens, and the quiet feeling that time slows down just a little. This engagement session was everything I love about photographing couples in the PNW natural, effortless, full of laughter, and grounded in genuine connection.

We met at one of my favorite tucked-away garden spots, where the trees arch overhead and the sunlight filters through in the prettiest way. Right from the moment they arrived, these two were full of warmth. They held hands, whispered to each other, and fell into movement so naturally , like they had been waiting for this moment.

And then… they brought their dog.

Their adorable golden pup absolutely stole the show. With his sweet face, wagging tail, and the way he looked at them like they were the whole world, he added the perfect layer of personality to the session. I love when couples bring their pets; it always adds such an authentic piece of their story. Plus, he was so patient and genuinely the cutest little third wheel.

As we wandered through the garden, the sunlight wrapped around them, giving everything that soft, dreamy glow photographers obsess over. Bare feet in the grass, gentle touches, quiet laughter. Everything felt peaceful and sincere. These are the sessions I never want to end.

This day was a reminder of why engagement sessions matter so much: they capture the in-between moments. The everyday kind of love. The comfort and the giggles and the way they look at each other when they think no one else is watching.
